Description Sorry I have been so busy everyone, will get back to your comments when I can.
But I need to empty some files today, so how about random pictures?
Not my best night shot, but nice.
Mercury was on the horizon at this time, and the moon was rather bright even in a crescent phase, and it was a dry night.
Perfect for some winter twilight colours.

Nice shot. A bit noisy, but being night time, not sure what could help with that. Heck, I'm not sure what kind of settings you can even mess with on a sony cybershot. I would guess higher f-stop and longer exposure maybe? I love the composition, you aligned the stars pretty well. The colors look sweet.

Thanks! I actually had a nice range on the cybershot, but for that National Geographic clarity one needs a PROFESSIONAL camera.
Still, the whole tweaking the f-stops and such does help.
Yes, a bit noisy, but it did pretty good with the colrs.

My favorite views of the moon are when you can see the whole of it while it's waxing and waning. Somehow it makes me feel like I can see what is normally hidden and it makes me feel just a little special, like I'm being shown something that not everyone else can see.

I love that too! It can be tricky to capture on camera without being to bright, but it's always lovely!

A hugely belated thanks! I waited too long to upload it, thinking it wasn't that good. In retrospect, it's a lovely evening to look at.
