Oils? OILS?!! You tamed the temperamental beast of oils to make this perfection?! WHAT

I would have just made a mess.

Love the subtle tones in her skin and the fiery oranges!

Wow, this is an amazing artwork. It looks so gorgeous, I like the textures, the woman's facial features and details are flawless. Like what you did with the hair. The textures that build up into your portrait are amazing!!! Truly amazing, I cannot believe how this image has no comments on it. Great work!!

And thank you for sharing this on here. This really amazes me. I'm an artist myself, I do portraits and landscapes but am still trying to find my own edge of interpreting what I percieve. So far I can imitate other styles, and perhaps I should just continue doing so, but I want to also develop my own unique edge so my artworks can actually be easier to take to galleries. I would very much appreciate any opinions and/or advice you may have for me.

Hello, no is yes I can give you a proper opinion. For me, this first step is good. The best school in the painting are the classics-Rembrandt, Velasquez, Goya. They already have created the most wonderful art centuries before us. I advise you to see the live. Then your style will come only with age. The painting is a work of life Most importantly, non-stop painting! Luck!
