Description

Inktober 2019

A new year a new challenge! This time I'm actually using the official 2019 prompt list , but with a twist! I want to practice my life drawing skills, so this time I'm taking things in my surroundings or things that I find in real life that fit the prompt theme. Because of this, not all things may fit the prompt directly, so they will largely be my interpretation of the theme or the subject that I'm drawing. I'm also allowing myself to get a little creative or slightly edit or adjust the thing that I draw to fit the theme. But the basis of the subject must be copied from real life. As an extra challenge, I'm also not allowing myself to sketch the subject in pencil first and instead am going straight to inking. Wish me luck!

October 17 - Ornament

Some of my friend's tiny ornamental succulents. I should really try to stop drawing plants without any green pens... It doesn't really turn out well. But it's still fun, so whatevs.

Thanks! They're new colored brush-tip pens, and I really enjoy working with them!

I guess they can be referred to as "brush-tip marker" as well. Basically it just means that the part you color with is like a pointed brush. There are hair-like filaments and such that you apply the color with.

Makes sense. I didn’t know they had specific names I just referred to them as markers.
