Inspiró la posterior Biblioteca General Dussiana, que utilizaba a muchas especies diferentes para realizar diversas grabaciones. Algunos dicen que su estilo arquitectónico también es el precursor del de la Universidad de Açäwsthew . Al igual que esta biblioteca, Xhharanp está especializada en la recopilación de información de otras culturas, con un gran énfasis en la traducción de documentos desde otras lenguas. Se dice que en su tiempo fue la mayor biblioteca (no exótica ni informática) dedicada a dicho tipo de documentos entre todas las especies dussianas y una de las mayores bibliotecas existentes en todo el Plano de Kuürna, contando también con decenas de miles de libros dedicados al análisis de las múltiples sociedades conocidas por los Dyssianos.

A diferencia de la Biblioteca General Dussiana, en la Gran Biblioteca dyssiana todo el trabajo es realizado por Dyssianos. Los Dyssianos prefieren mantener la posición de Dyss en secreto y ninguna especie inteligente aparte de los Dyssianos (y algunos Dussianos) ha pisado Dyss. Como muy pocos Dyssianos salen de su Sistema Estelar (y cuando lo hacen apenas se relacionan con otras especies, a no ser que sean Kdieua ) los Dyssianos tuvieron que aprovechar sus avanzados conocimientos en robótica, mandando cientos de miles de robots a otros Planetas o Planos para recopilaran la información por ellos.

Los robots de los Dyssianos son de muchos tipos diferentes: desde dussioides [1] hasta microrobots con capacidad de grabación de muy alta calidad. La variedad de fuentes de los Dyssianos es muy grande, desde entrevistas, colaboración entre centros de investigación situados a muchos años luz entre sí, financiando instituciones educativas, etc. La mayoría de los traductores no son Dyssianos, sino de la misma especie que escribió cada libro.

Este enfoque es muy útil para los Dyssianos porque les ahorra tener que realizar ellos mismos el trayecto hasta dichos planetas o traducir dichos libros, aunque siempre hay un pequeño porcentaje de eruditos que enseñan a través de robots los rudimentos del dyssiano.

Cuando se encuentran obstáculos o razas peligrosas que no quieren compartir sus conocimientos (justo como los Nhel y Sercque hacen para seguir su misión) tienen que solventarlo recurriendo a grabaciones secretas. Estos robots ultraminiaturizados son capaces de adherirse a cualquier superficie y viajar como polizones en naves espaciales.
