Description A drawing of my local hospital, Bispebjerg Hospital, located in Copenhagen Denmark.
The buildings are from 1913 so they got quite a charming, oldfashioned style.

What a beautiful piece! The composition is very clear at once and the structure of the hospital is nicely done.

The black color emphasize the main elements and give depth to the drawing, yet I think there's too much importance given to the two small trunks on the right side compared to the pillar with a lantern. It makes the placement of the pillar unclear. I think the pillar should be more defined (just like the lantern is at the top) while the trunks on each side should be less striking. The bushes are very well done.

The colors work well together to give a peaceful look to the place. The general composition has a touch of sadness, conveying just the right feel for a hospital.
Overall, the technique is mastered and you made a great drawing of this place! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

I am by no means a great or even a good artist, and this is my first critique so please take this with a grain of salt. I like the warmth and overall feel of the drawing, the perspective seems good for the most part but maybe a little skewed in some areas, although it's very minor. My biggest issue is with the lighting and contrast, I find it hard to distinguish the trees from the building and the building from the stairs. It all seems to blend in with each other leaving my eyes bouncing across the image, and a bit puzzled. Thanks for posting and I hope you found this helpful in some way.

I live in a house that was built a year before 1913. Very similar style, but of course a lot smaller. I like the tall facades at the front with the tall windows.
