My only tiny artistic ability is strumming a little guitar & bass, am totally unable to draw properly. Seeing your stuff just fascinates me.
How can you (you & many others on this site, frankly) "catch" such authenticity in their eyes?

I guess its like the blues - to some purist, you can't be white and play the blues, but i like my Clapton just fine

in the case of comfortable childhood, every rock artist that has MADE IT had to "rough it" for a good period of time first, so the authentication is pretty valid

So sad this man is no longer with us. I truly loved the used of color and texture underneath his eyes. I think you excel in making all your paintings seem very realistic...its the eyes. The eyes have it!
