Question....I have done several paintings like this one....without the liquid look...mostly oil...and I was wondering...how you got those hard edges....cause I could replicate this....except I can't figure out how to preserve those hard edges of the face....did you use friskit or something?

Sweet work! I hate to be a coat-tugger but i'm trying to move into painting from digital... how do you do the paint swirls without ending up with mud?

I'm using acrylics. The brand doesn't seem to matter. You have to get them just the right consistency, not too wet but not too thick. I use a blender and a strainer to remove lumps.

cool, thanks for the insight! I've been looking at acrylics as an entry point. My style uses big fields of color, if i can't put some depth or texture into them they don't quite work.

Anyway, I really dig your way of pulling an image from chaos. Please make more!
