Such an epic battle! I truly enjoyed that scene in the movie; well acted and had me on the edge of my seat. Your drawing certainly captures the moment. Shelob is terrifying with her huge, monstrous frame and drool dripping from her mandibles. Sam's expression is one of horror yet incredible bravery. His personality truly shines through ... or is it the light of Earendil? Just kidding, but I am seriously is awe of your lighting effects. My favourite part of this drawing is Frodo. I didn't notice him at first, which made me all the more horrified/delighted when I spied him bound in the web. Not trying to disgust, but he looks like a dead foetus, all curled up like that with his sunken features. I really adore this picture. Awesome! Yay Tolkien!
