Smarter youtubers now leave 30 seconds of black at the end.
Even smarter ones leave 30 seconds of a background graphic to frame the youtube overlays and fit their own logos in the negative space.

I need a blender machine.

Dude, use Ublock Origin. It doesn't requires baby sacrifice. I even forgot youtube had ads since I began to use it.
ABP has their "safe ads" BS that one can pay to pass through their filters.

I also hate when you go to a website and a few seconds you get that pop up asking you to sign up for their news letter, or follow them on Facebook, or whatever.Β They work differently than regular pop ups and my ABP won't block them.

I use ABP and No-Script in conjunction to help nuke the crap out of ads.Β I understand 100% that advertisements "make the world dun go round" on places like Youtube, however, it angers me to no end how Youtube treats content creators, shoves out ads none stop, and allows people to basically be pricks with the content ID reporting.Β Until they fix their garbage, I'm not white-listing one single element on their shitty platform.Β Also, if it comes down to it, I'll use the 3rd party VLC media player to bypass everything.Β

If you are interested, there's an article on LifeHacker about disabling ads:
You can find it here: lifehacker.com/disable-ads-on-β¦
This is for Firefox, but there are similar articles out there for other browsers, too.
Feel free to share this wisdom with others!

Nano Defender and Nano Adblocker perform very thoroughly, with virtually no need to sacrifice babies. Also way more lightweight than APB.
But, if it keeps hamster comics coming, I support the blendering of babies.

The overlays can be done well, or they can be done badly. Some youtubers purposely have the ends of their videos set up to accomodate the overlays, framing them in amusing ways, or with a voiceover etc.
Some just have the end of the video, still playing, and the overlays appear over them. I donβt understand why it does that...

Randomveiwer2 In reply to shadowguy28 [2019-03-19 05:42:54 +0000 UTC]
Thanks for the info ! I studied youtube for quite some time so I know about quite a bit .
Now with overlays it's a choice the youtuber makes of when it appears. It last up to15-22 seconds I think . So if the youtuber isn't good at editing they most likely will just add the overlay on top of the video . If their good like you said they will have a unique way of using the overlay .Β
It's not the overlays I have a problem with it's the fact they make a joke out of killing babies as a way of getting something is what I have a problem with .
