Kei was curious to find out what this clinic was about. She had traveled to Uppsala together with Sebbe, because Sebbe wanted to visit the event and hang out with Sam (while he was in Sweden) and Kei figured if Sebbe was going up then she could tag along and bring Contrafagetto and attend that clinic of Sam's. Sam was quite successful as of late and it was very impressive, and she had been very inactive in the scene, but maybe this could be interesting. Who knew? Maybe she could learn something new which Sara had not taught her.

Kei had greeted Sam quickly as she arrived to the area where the clinic would take place, and during the warm up she listened to Sam's introduction intently.
Contrafagetto was eager to be out and about. It was always fun to visit new places for him, but when Kei was up in the saddle he was 100% focused on her and her aids and willing to do his best for her.
Even if he knew that Kei would attend he would never ever be prepared to face her at the clinic.
Maybe it was good that she de-fused their meeting with a quick 'hello' as soon as they saw each other. Minimize the awkwardness that they both still had to figure out to deal with and get over with. The sooner the better. It would hopefully not affect the clinic. Sam really really wanted to portray himself as professional but with her around.... it could be posing as a challenge

When the warmup was over and the actual lesson started, he for some reason fell into the teacher role pretty naturally, even if it was Kei he poke'd with tips and helping aids from time to time as she and Contrafagetto got ready to take on a few obstacles.
Kei listened closely to Sam, and when he did not communicate with her but to the other attendees, she focused on herself and Fagetto, making sure they did the best they possibly could. She trotted over a couple of poles on the ground a couple of times to make her colorful stallion attentive and soon getting him ready for bigger tasks, like jumps. Kei felt secure in the saddle and didn't feel awkward (strangely enough) but maybe it was because she was riding and all her focus was on the riding part? Most likely.
Kei was observing the other riders as they jumped and got feedback from Sam too. You never knew if there would be any good information you could apply to yourself.
Sam looked through his students one by one until he stopped at Kei. He nodded in her direction after getting eye contact and instructed her to steer towards one of the combinations. With his undivided attention on her as she lined up for the combination he constantly talked her through the line of obstacles. When to pick him up, how to use her leg, when to push, when to use those half halts he has been nagging about for 2 days straight. After they cleared he simply said "again please".
Sam fell back a bit, leaning his head to the side as he studied Kei's aids as she guided Fagetto through the combination again, all the time giving words of encouraging helps.
