Description Alright guys, here is another Fairly Oddparents atrocity.  Yay...First off, let me start with the negatives of the episode. The idea of the fairies having a new baby thus adding a new main character is actually not a bad idea, but after seeing this trash, it was badly executed. We got some lousy jokes of Timmy getting himself hurt or otherwise nearly killed and everyone else carrying less about his misery. Out of everyone, Timmy so far is the only character that I can truly understand what he's through, since sadly he's the show's butt monkey. Also, most of his actions are justified and unintentional because to me, it feels like that all of this wouldn't happened if he didn't made the wish in the first place, even though it was Cosmo and Wanda that brought up the idea to begin with since obviously they got distracted by newborns and could've got themselves exposed while speaking next to the mothers. Speaking of Cosmo, he's the "mother" of the baby. Thank god I added more implications, because a forsaking kid is stepping up to the plate for bringing a fairy offspring. Jorgon warns that the baby's powers are highly unstable and powerful, since Cosmo was the last one in general due of his recklessness as a newborn. Wow...so even in birth he's dangerous. As for the other characters, they're pretty much as jokes and filler to keep the episode going, like Jorgon going to the bathroom (I'l admit, it foreshadows what's going to happen later) and everyone else talking too much of Rio. Several points of the episodes doesn't make any sense and leaves much plotholes. And Wanda at the near end puts all of this into Timmy sounds in my case both hypocritical and a bit justified at the same time. Yes, justified for Timmy's decision going wrong, but hypocritical for getting him to come up with the wish to beginning with.

Now, what are the positives? The animation is very good, the villains teaming up is okay, and the Batman Gambit scene is great. However, that doesn't save too much of the episode. The baby himself is what I'll admit is adorable and his powers actually come in handy when they're used to do the right thing, but after his appearance, the show starts to go downhill. Overall, like the previous atrocity , the story doesn't make much sense, the implications could've gave children some nightmare fuel since the fairies are revealed to have "opposite systems" if you know what I mean, plotholes are cringing, the moral point out somewhere said that Timmy shouldn't wished this without second thoughts even though he's somewhat pushed to do it, and the comedy is just awful. Also, what is it with the Fairly Oddparents universe where Men are idiots and slobs and the Women are nags and perfect? I gets its a cartoon, but that should insult most of people worldwide.  To make a long story short,  I despise this special.

If the original team of the show was on this episode, Poof would have had a MUCH better introduction. I mean, the concept was really cute but they truly messed up this episode's execution.

This episode should have ended with all of the characters being vaporized by the baby’s power.

Timmy is my favorite character but I won't deny one of his quirks as a character on the show is his buttmonkey status; the problem is in the first three and a half seasons he wouldn't be constantly tortured; and plus the misfortune he did get was believable. Then they started upping it around the middle of season 4, which got grating later on. It was to the point where many times it was like life itself was out to get Timmy.

In this episode I got kinda irritated whenever all of the fairies got pissed at Timmy for making Cosmo go away because after all he dealt with prior he kind of deserved to blow off some steam. Then Wanda shouting at Timmy saying it was his fault that everything happened, it's not Timmy's fault that he gave Poof to the Anti Cosmo and Head Pixie when he thought they were Jorgen, and it only made sense that he would trust Jorgen over them. He clearly felt bad about doing it, it's not like he needed to be reminded of that fact. Honestly, she should've been more grateful that he even wished for Poof in the first place, not to mention the fact that he dealt with Cosmo puking on him and berating him for weeks due to the pregnancy and even offering to be a servant boy for the baby shower. (they literally refer to him as servant boy) and yet, they still continue to push him around...

It's a cartoon but still, Timmy shouldn't be going through so much hell. This episode and several others from seasons 5 - 7 also suffer from the same problem.

Opposite systems? Is that saying that FEMALE fairies get erections while MALE fairies go through menstruation?....😨 *feels ready to throw up*

Scott Fellows, Butch Hartman and Kevin Sullivan are the writers of the episode.

The part of Cosmo getting pregnant just reminds me of seahorses. Sure male seahorses only get pregnant because the females give it to them but this scenario isn't impossible (in fact they did the same thing in Mork And Mindy)

I see your point. And yes, its very similar to seahorses indeed.

Poof can interfere with the story and be dead weight in the newer FOP episodes he's in. The writers of the show should know better because the Nickelodean show Rugrats suffered from the same problems; loss of ideas, strict adherence to the status quo that results in bad endings, and introducing new characters that don't add to the show or worse, they drag it down. FOP has introduced Poof, Sparky, their evil counterparts, and is set to bring in Chloe. Rugrats introduced Dil, Kimi, Lulu, and (ugh) Taffy. However, I do like Poof more than Dil because he has more of an impact on the plot and has more personality despite being a baby.

Let me tell you something:
I love baby Poof
And I ADORE this idea!
On top of that, this is the most selfless wish Timmy ever made. Not only did he not gain anything from it, he lost the ability to make carefree wishes all day long now that his Godparents have a bigger responsibility. (He still makes wishes, but Poof can get in the way.)
I love how it changes the dynamic a little- something these shows are usually afraid to do- and in the end it brings them closer to being a real family. So I guess I take it back when I say Timmy didn't gain anything, he gained a little brother <3
-HOWEVER-
This episode was pretty bad.
And sadly, I do agree that FOP just slightly started to decline around here
NOT because of Poof though, Poof just came in at a bad time
They should have expanded on what I said above more, then there could've been more good Poof episodes
(Btw I'm in between about Foop and I highly dislike Sparky.)

I respect your opinion. And I agree, Timmy has done all of this for Cosmo and Wanda and have a new brother, so that made sense. I know, right?! In fairness, I don't exactly hate Poof at all.

I think another factor as to why I've always loved Poof was around this time I first got into fanfiction, and there are some very nice Poof Fanfictions.
It was only looking back years later did I realize, tbh, his characterization wasn't QUITE as fleshed in the actual show.

Well, there are two communities, and Fanfiction writers and the reviewers. (For the most part, there are some that do both)
The FFW love Poof, and the reviewers HATE Poof

True, true. This episode could've worked, but it got bad execution afterwards.
