For whatever faults the game had, Mighty No. 9 actually did give me that classic Megaman feelgood moment when I finally FINALLY beat the final boss(which only happened this last month after much strenuous grinding and accidentally killing myself DURING THE BOSSβS DEATH ANIMATION AAAAGH), so I give it positive feels. Ray mode ended up being surprisingly fun too, once I got not bad at the game, and it was a crazy exhilarating extra challenge. Then Mega Ran did a rap during the credits and that was awesome.

If Mega Man and Mighty No. 9 had a crossover, and you could choose to play as Rock or Beck, but you could also swap your current character out with the other, that would be absolutely amazing.

In a way, the original Megaman had suffered unfortunate advertising too, with the infamous βBad Box Art Megamanβ being its only advertising in the states back in the time of Megaman 1. Thankfully it recovered from that though.

Perhaps because of the disappointment with Red Ash, and the sudden canceling of Legends 3.

I was referring to the Megaman Legends fans you just mentioned and why I think they were so hostile.
