YOU FLATTER ME. Honestly half the reason these two came out so well is because their designs don't make me wonder if the owners were colorblind; I've had to draw some ugly characters before, so these were lovely. XD

Thank you, haha! It was fun drawing her because when I'm doing the initial sketch, I'll unconsciously imitate whatever expression I'm trying to draw... people have walked in on me looking pretty weird sometimes.

I agree, his design is pretty rad. I don't like drawing overly-complicated characters, as it takes all the fun out of drawing if I have to sit there and squint over ridiculous, precise swirly patterns and crazy markings for hours at a time. XD

Yeah i really had a problem with over-designing my characters a few years ago, but thankfully don't do that anymore. At the other end of things though it can be difficult to come up with a nice yet unique simple design. Hope to be seeing more art from you again sometime!
