This story took place not too long ago.

One day, after Dill came home from picking Dean up from daycare, and greeted Lucky as he came off the school bus, they were all greeted by Dawn, who hugged and kissed them each before telling them some exciting news.

DAWN: Hey, boys! Guess what! Aunt Melanie just sent an invitation to Cousin Evie's 8th birthday party! It's this Saturday at the trampoline park!
DEAN: Yay! Burr-day party!
LUCKY: Yeah! But.. what's a trampoline park?
DILL: It's this really cool place with lots and lots of big trampolines you can jump on and... Oh...

At the moment, Dill remembered that because of Lucky's condition, he can't jump like other kids can.

LUCKY: What about me? Will there be stuff I can do at the trampoline park?
DAWN: I'm sure there will!
DILL: Yeah! We'll find a way to include you. I promise! Even if I have to strap you to my back and jump around each trampoline parkour style!
LUCKY: "giggles" Ok.

Lucky became worried that he wouldn't be able to find anything that he could do at the trampoline park, which was a bit unusual for him since he was always so confident. Of course, his parents kept assuring him that they'll find a way to include him in the fun. This made Lucky feel a bit better, but he still felt a little nervous.

A few days later, after they went to the store to get Evie a birthday present, it was time for the party. The whole family arrived at the trampoline park, said hello to the rest of the family, then all the kids ran off to go play on all the trampolines. All of the kids except for Lucky that is. There wasn't just trampolines there, they also had a zip line, slides, a rock climbing wall, a rope kids can swing on into a big foam pit, and an obstacle course that had lots of things to jump on and swing on. Lucky looked at each of these things.

DILL: So, which one do you wanna try first?
LUCKY: Umm... the rock wall!
DILL: Alright, let's go!

So they got to the rock wall, and because the rocks were pretty far from each other, and because Lucky can only lift his leg so high, he struggled a bit with climbing, but his dad was there right behind him if he needed help. Lucky couldn't climb the rocks very well, and it discouraged him a little.
They then tried the rope swing. Lucky could easily grab the rope and swing on it, but he was too scared to let go and fall into the foam pit, which was understandable since Lucky's bones break a little more easily than other kids, and the drop was pretty far. Dill helped him off of the rope, and they noticed the other kids doing the obstacle course, but Lucky was still feeling discouraged, so he sat sadly on one of the trampolines.

LUCKY: All the stuff here is too hard for me. I guess it's only for kids who can run and jump.
DILL: Aww, I'm sorry, buddy! I'm sure we can find something you can do here. Wanna try the obstacle course?
LUCKY: No thanks. I'm too sad.
DILL: That's ok. We can take a break.

They were on one of the trampolines, and as Dill was going over to Lucky to help him back to the seating area, he instinctly started bouncing, since the trampoline was very bouncy, and Lucky ended up bouncing in the air a bit.

LUCKY: Whoa! Ha ha. Do that again, Dad!
DILL: Do what? Oh, this? "bounces some more"
LUCKY: Whoo! Whee!

Dill kept gently bouncing Lucky on the trampoline, and before he knew it, Lucky was bouncing on the trampoline on his bottom higher and higher, but Dill made sure he didn't go too high so he didn't get hurt. The adults who were watching started cheering for Lucky, and the birthday girl went up to him too.

EVIE: Lucky! You're jumping!
LUCKY: Yeah! I'm jumping my way!
EVIE: Uncle Dill, can you bounce me too?
DILL: Sure! Join in!

So Evie sat down too, and Dill started bouncing them both. They were giggling and cheering the whole time. The other kids each got a turn being bounced by Dill too, before they went back to the obstacle course. Lucky was feeling happier, so he decided to go over and give the obstacle course a try too.
Once it was his turn, he climbed up the rock ramp, which had rocks that were much closer together so Lucky was able to do it more easily, then he sat on the trampoline, waiting for Dill to bounce him, which he did. Since Lucky couldn't jump high enough to grab the swing, Dill lifted him up and pushed him so he could swing a bit, then gently lifted him into the foam pit so that Lucky didn't have to jump in. Lucky then crawled out of the pit by himself and crutched around each of the foam blocks until he reached the finish line. Everyone clapped for Lucky for completing the obstacle course his way.

LUCKY: I did it!
DILL: Great job, Lucky!
LUCKY: Let's do it again! Then I wanna try some of the other stuff again! I can do it my way!
DILL: You sure can, buddy!

Sure, Dill had to help him with some of the things at the trampoline park, but Lucky was still able to do a lot of things by himself, just in his own way. Now that he was feeling happier and more adventurous, Lucky was able to have more fun playing with his cousins and brother like riding the zip line, with his dad catching him instead of falling into the foam pit, and going down the slides. He also asked Dill to bounce him on the big trampolines some more. Overall, Lucky was able to have a lot of fun at the trampoline park, and he even asked his parents if he could have his next birthday party at the trampoline park.
Sometimes, when you have a disability, you have to find a different way to do things, but once you do, you'll feel so proud and happy, just like Lucky!
