I was so fortunate to be commissioned by TLDragon for this wonderful piece of Amaterasu from Okami! We went through a bunch of ideas, settling tentatively on this super red saturated sunset piece. Turned out beautiful! The color palette is just stunning. Also, something about it looks like traditional work (even though I know you painted it in ps). Maybe it's the texture and brush strokes you used on the clouds, or something about the way you painted the fur... Hard to put my finger on it.

The way the fire wraps around the reflector is great. As is the way she looks backlit from the sun in the same way she's lit by the fire -- showing that her fire and the Sun and one in the same.
