Aye thanks for the tutorial man, I appreciate it.

Also, dude, it's a drawing. The body is exaggerated due to their art style. Chill out and pet an animal.

"Male vs Female Body"
*picture of skinny guy with abs and girl with skinny, curvy body with big boobs and tight fitting clothes*

If you mean the "ideal" body type, then at least say so.

So you like,, completely ignore the other body types in the references? Also, the tight-fitting clothes aren't even something to argue about, it's an anatomy study and to see the anatomy clearly you need something to show off the body?

momma4na In reply to WaffleThePuppy [2019-02-05 23:42:59 +0000 UTC]

Of course its gonna be the ideal, it's a fucking generic anatomy study lmao
Most people following these just want to understand how draw bodies in a more generic way
Then after that that's when they move on to different shapes and sizes, because they can actually draw snd experiment.
What where you expecting???
If you want to explore different body types then search for them instead of complaining about body shapes in references like anybody fucking cares

I only had one problem with this because i don't really think clothes work like that especially for the female ones i mean it can stick to your skin but this much it's just bodypaint, plus the ribs from the first tutorial are very few and ends very high.I'd also like to add that i really like it though.

corazoncult In reply to rracchan [2017-08-02 18:49:26 +0000 UTC]

The body types are very exaggerated here. I don't believe that they meant to imply that chubby was obese, it's just their exaggeration overall. The curves for the hourglass one are *so* exaggerated. The muscles for the men are so exaggerated. Then again though, as part of this is just their style this is also arguably old. They've grown from this.

they also dont really have to draw what you want. Kawacy can draw whatever he wants to draw, however he wants to draw it.

i was gonna post a reply about how you conveniently ignored that my comment was in reference that these are supposed to be BODY references (which is in the title) for realistic painting and the like, but lack a basic human part of said body and how i'm VERY well aware they don't have heads because heads are NOT whats trying to be taught here, but 'shercock' is making me laugh too fucking hard.

I don't think chubby men are quite that muscular (I mean, what about pot bellies and all that?) but I'm not complaining, I'm eating the eye candy right here
Also I know this is anime style, but man, that woman's hips are like twice as wide as her shoulders. Don't see that everyday...

👍: 1 ⏩: 1

No--Chill In reply to TeamStormbow [2016-12-23 00:08:24 +0000 UTC]

I see it as this: he was making both of the body illustrations the more ideal types in different ways. Like for the men; They were all muscular. And for the women, they were all curvy. I know what you mean when you doubt a chubby man is that muscular, but honestly, I think it is quite possible, even if it isn't very common! (hope I din't state the obvious!)

TeamStormbow In reply to No--Chill [2016-12-23 07:28:52 +0000 UTC]

True. Although, even drawing "ideal" types can be rather hard. I mean, basically every type of body has been the ideal if you take into account
every place and time. But I see what you mean

Br00kie-Draws In reply to D-Schloss [2017-01-17 10:56:09 +0000 UTC]

what does that have to do with the piece exactly? this is a tutorial, not some documentary about weight loss ya know.
its meant so that people can shade of different forms of bodies- whether chubby or otherwise.
maybe if you spent more time on actually trying out the tutorials instead of judging people by how much someone weighs, you could possibly be a better artist. and a better person

i read through your links and what i got out of it was that if you are over weight you are unhealthy unless you are overweight because of your muscle. good job fucking yourself over, people like you are making being fat more normal, which in turn, will cause the average weight go up because people feel more comfortable being fat.

someone dosent understand basic biology.

👍: 1 ⏩: 1

Unexpectedchair In reply to D-Schloss [2017-01-07 02:23:10 +0000 UTC]

How the fuck did you get that from those links?
You must have only read one link or have severely misunderstood what the articles were saying.
But fine. Check out this blog by a scientist and shift your lack of reading skills to them;
bigfatscience.tumblr.com

D-Schloss In reply to Unexpectedchair [2017-01-07 02:26:22 +0000 UTC]

that is a fallacy, just because its a scientist dosent mean he has any education on the subject. also you got that from tumblr, how can you expect to find unbiased information there.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Unexpectedchair In reply to D-Schloss [2017-01-07 02:43:33 +0000 UTC]

As if your original comment wasnt incredibly biased against fat people. Read the links over and over again. And also, actually LOOK at the blog i sent instead of assuming.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

D-Schloss In reply to Unexpectedchair [2017-01-08 00:17:12 +0000 UTC]

my comment was biased, but i didn't link biased sources, also I would rather look at a doctors opinion on the matter. you know somebody who has experience with biology

healthland.time.com/2013/12/02…
www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/healt…
www.hsph.harvard.edu/obesity-p…
www.webmd.com/diet/obesity/obe…
www.webmd.com/diet/obesity/tc/…
www.cdc.gov/healthyweight/effe…
www.cdc.gov/obesity/adult/caus…
stanfordhealthcare.org/medical…
www.medicinenet.com/script/mai…
www.mediweightloss.com/resourc…

i could go on forever, but i would recommend looking at the webmd.com links as those are the most reliable resources that i have found because it is from actual doctors with degrees and are working currently in a hospital.
all of the links talk about heart disease, cancer, gallbladder failure, breathing disorders, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, kidney failure, cardiac arrest (have higher survival rate, but they occur much more frequently) ect...
your biased information uses fallacies to try and trick people into their agenda, this is why so many people fall for feminism, fat acceptance, ect...
try not to be too triggered and actually stop to think about how you could possibly be wrong (not trying to be rude, but i cant think of any other way to phrase it)

Even after all the logic and facts and arguing the question still stands why would u bother commenting all that, its a tutorial you cant just appreciate good art?Of course everyone should be allowed to have their own opinions but its just trying to help others with coloring..like no need to say all that shit. Im not saying you were doing this but it looks like you just wanted to start a argument like theres no other reason to comment that if you didn't. Im not trying to start an argument mind you i just felt the need to say that.
