Description This is one of my entries into summer landscape contest [link]

The full moon was so bright through the light cloud covering that it created a refraction and gave us a Moonbow

This is the night view off my rear deck looking south toward the Sacramento valley...

While many places in the world have wide open night sky views, our home here in Northern California is the first time I've been able to photograph the beauty without the intrusion of telephone wires or neighbors lights So to me, this night sky represents the light pollution free Northern CA

I know that view (I went to Chico State eons ago) but this is looking south toward the Sac Valley off 49 south of El Dorado (and is my "backyard") During the day you can see the old nuclear reactor towers from Rancho Seco...you can see other versions of this view in my Home gallery [link]

these clouds actually ended up giving us a good soaking during the night! so now we're muggy LOL

I may have to do something to get my wife away from here. Orange county is really beginning get to me. The ill-eagles can have it and I'll head north. I was supposed to retire to Nova Scotia not SoCal.
