Info
When he sat with his friends, he gladdened the spirits of all of them, but when he was at war, his demeanor was terrifyingly grim.
- Snorri Sturluson, Ynglinga Saga 6
Name: Asgeir
Nickname: Assie
Age: Adult
Gender: Male
Height: 36’’
Weight: 150 lbs
Build:
Asgeir is a big wolf. Massive head, paws, and thick treetrunk legs. All held together with a healthy dosage of muscle and fat(though, perhaps a bit too much fat). His forehead is long and flat, with two small and round black ears at the top with tufts of fur coming out and shaping his round cheekfur. His brows are thick like rock pillars over his small autumny eyes, giving him quite the scary glare unless he is carrying that typical smile of his. But at least his eyes are normally warm and shining with care and love. His snout is almost comically big as well, with a tiny break on the middle of his nose bridge.
His fur is soft, fluffy and long, especially around his neck where it comes in tufts of different lengths from that time he was so starved and thin his fur fell off in heaps, creating the irregularity when he rapidly gained weight again. It might be notable to mention that the darker fur is more wiry and shiny than the whiter parts of his fur.
He, like many other wolves, does have his fair share of scars, but most of them are small enough to be hidden by his long fur. He also carries some scars from scarifications during the dark ages of Fellfang.
Gait: Heavy steps, soft, slow movement with his fur swaying gently over his mass of muscle and fat. Something in the way he moves proves he has a history of fighting, as every leap, twist and skip is filled with strength and a remarkable precision. From when he was very young he was taught to carry himself like a warrior of ancient times, and can seem quite threatening when he does; was it not for his gentle nature, kind eyes and warm smiles, that is.
Voice: Michael Clarke Duncan
Scent: Musky with a hint of tree bark and moss.
Territory: Loner
Current location: Summer - Mountains south of Fellfang, towards Vektren
Past packs: Aostre(Birth), Dalir(childhood), Fellfang(home)
Family: N/A
Rank: N/A (former Delta Hunter of Fellfang)
Personality
(This section is to be rewritten)
Proud/confident – Humorous – Social and friendly – Protective – Cultural and religious – Troubled
Hardened: As a wolf without his pack to back him, and after so much struggle within his mind, the Asgeir everybody knows and loves appears hardened. He is more suspicious of strangers and it is harder to reach his warmer side. He is questioning what parts of himself is the real him, and thus struggles with his sense of morale.
Asgeir’s appearance is quite the impressive one. A giant silver white wolf, with heavy brows intensifying his glare, large amounts of fur that sway majestically in the air, and a heavy gait, as if to just prove how massive he is. There is a sense of pride in whatever Asgeir does. However, it sits deep inside of him, so deep he does not always see it himself. Still, he is clearly confident. Asgeir never cowers easily, or even tries to make himself smaller in iffy situations. Only wolves who he respects will receive his submissive pose. Such a high pride and confidence however, can make the fall even harder should he ever feel undignified and disgraced. Usually, it is himself and his own mistakes. He can be a bit unaware of his own size, which can lead to comical situations like bump into others or even try and squeeze into places where he really doesn’t fit – for behind that scary exterior is a jolly old soul. Someone who doesn’t take everything too serious and always finds himself in situations to laugh. Asgeir is a comic at heart. Someone who wants to be everybody’s friend, and for life to be good and peaceful.
He is an extremely social creature. He hates to be alone or shunned, and will always seek company. However, even he may seek solitude now and then, as he has difficulties conveying his emotions into words. Especially negative ones like grief and sorrow. He loves to entertain, to tell tales both great and small, and will do whatever it takes to turn a frown upside down. As for others, it is very easy to make him smile. He loves to laugh, and has a deep and loud one always waiting to come out. Many Fellfangir who hasn’t interacted with him much yet may mostly recognize him through it, as they are sure to have heard it ring from wherever in the territory at random times.
He attaches very easily to others, especially members of his skuld. Family is extremely important to him, even if they aren’t related through blood. He is of the protective kind, always ready to step up and shield his friends from danger, and always keeps an eye out for them in such moments like during hunts or natural disasters. It pains him when he is unable to help and save them, and it would take a lot from him to simply let someone go and let them make their own mistakes.
With his attachment to family and packlife, Asgeir is very accepting to culture and religion. Though he was raised to a belief system slightly different from the one in Fellfang, he has easily adopted his new pack’s way of life and belief (especially because they aren’t too different.). He loves to hear about spirituality and of rituals and way, and has a specific connection to the Fellfangir belief around ghosts – he believes his late mate, Jeera is haunting him, however, he isn’t sure if she is malevolent or trying to guide him, as her first appearance was the very reason he stayed in Fellfang and changed his ways.
It is very easy to think that Asgeir is all muscle and no brain – even he thinks his knowledge only reaches that of hunting and fighting. However, though it may need some repetition, once he remembers something, he might never forget it, and with a bit of digging he could become a very wise wolf.
Now, Asgeir isn’t all happy dappy, let’s sing songs around the fireplace and ladidah. His life hasn’t exactly been a dance on roses, and for the last few years that has been completely his own fault. The mental change he did in order to stay in Fellfang was such a giant one, he sometimes finds difficulty in adapting to his new way of life. Though a lot of his younger and true self shines through in the daily life, there are specific occasions that can trigger certain emotions and reactions that aren’t all good. The biggest and the only one he know best so far is his inability to fight other wolves. When faced with unfriendly strangers, Asgeir tends to freeze in place and even have panic attacks. He promised to never hurt a wolf ever again, unless in dire emergencies, when he came back to Fellfang, but no one could predict what a hold that would take on him.
Another reaction that he hasn't experienced yet and that will be explored through Rps is his ability to enter berserker mode – something he was prone to do during the dark ages, but now doesn’t have complete control over. So perhaps by pushing the right buttons or if he is brought to a certain extent of desperation, he might lose control of his body. He is filled up with so much guilt and grief over his actions during the dark ages, he doesn’t take lightly on others joking about it or even blaming him for his actions. Certain things related to that could very easily just make him fall apart altogether.
Pre-Group History
Asgeir was born to the beta couple of a large island pack up north. However, he has very few memories of his parents, because while he was just a pup, a neighbouring pack came over and declared war. His older sister who picked him up and ran over the ice to the mainland saved him from the midst of it all. However, their escape was far from over. One of the enemy wolves had caught their scent and followed them – his sister was pregnant with the alpha couple’s son’s litter – meaning they had value. His sister, Asta, had to trek through unfamiliar land for three whole days, barely getting any sleep as the other wolf was just at their heels. However, even her stamina had to go out at some point, and that it did. Luckily, a smaller valley pack found her and chased away the stalker before admitting the young female wolf and her brother in to their family. After going several days without hearing from their home pack, Asta assumed they had lost and decided to stay in the valley pack to raise Asgeir as her own along with her own litter in the valley.
Asgeir grew to become a strong asset to the pack as a great hunter and a loved pack brother as well. However, the greatest part of it all was that he had the chance to grow up with a beautiful rusty coloured female named Jeera. She was everything he was not: witty, graceful, quick… And she had the most astonishing voice. Asgeir never wanted to do anything but to sit and listen as she talked, sung or howled. Even to this day, he finds it a miracle that she showed even the slightest of interest in him. Around the time they hit maturity, the two admitted their love for each other and became mates. Then, just a year later, Asgeir sat outside their den waiting for their three little ones to be born to this world. He absolutely loved being a father, even though most of it consisted of looking at tiny little fuzz balls in the dark.
One day he joined in on a hunting trip to the hunting territory on the other side of the mountain – it was the one farthest away from the main den, so they barely went hunting there. The goal was to find the perfect specimen to feed the new additions to the pack, and to celebrate another joyful spring. During the hunt, it started to rain, but that did not stop them from taking down a young elk buck with a limp. Asgeir got a whole thigh to drag with him home to Jeera and the pups. On the way there, the light drizzle turned into a furious skyfall. However, Asgeir did not worry. Thunderstorms had happened many times before. That was a thought he would come to regret. When he finally came to the densite, there was no den there. A large mudslide covered the entire slope, taking with it trees, rocks and the very ground beneath it. Desperate, Asgeir managed to dig out the remnants of the den, only to find the corpse of his beautiful mate. In grief, he remained there, half his torso in a hole in the ground, hoping the mud would refill it and kill him too. But naturally, the worst was over and soon the mud started to dry out around his elbows. He doesn’t remember how long he stayed there, but he does recall snarling at his sister at some point. Then eventually the stench was too much and he left. Not home to the rest of the pack, but away. Just somewhere. Life no longer had no meaning to him, so Asgeir just wandered across the land. He didn’t eat, and only drank when his body was most desperate for it. He hoped to starve to death. Which he almost did. However, as he laid down in a stony cave, ribcage showing and his entire body aching with hunger, he claims the ghost of Jeera came to him and told him to walk just a little bit further. When he did so, he came upon the Fellfang pack. Though he was nothing like his stronger self back then, rather a tall and bony ghost, he was taken in and joined the pack on the many raids through the land. It suited his anger on the world perfectly. He hated to see other wolves happy, or just nature thriving when it had taken what was most precious to him earlier. He quickly regained health, growing fat and muscle on giant feasts and several aggressive fights. When Fable eventually took over the pack, Asgeir was among the wolves who wanted to leave to continue on their marauding ways. However, in the last minute before leaving, he was reminded of how disappointed Jeera would be if she saw him now. Thus, the big wolf decided to change his ways and stay in the pack.

Trivia:
- Asgeir is not fond of talking about his actions during the dark ages, to ask him about it is the perfect recipe to make him uncomfortable and grumpy.
- He is very secretive about the loss of his family, only those extremely close to him will learn about it.
- He had a lot of brothers and sisters, and though most of them died when he was very young, it is possible that he has unknown relatives in the domain
- He can see the ghost of his late mate Jeera(though it may just be a hallucination, depending on who's talking). He also suffers from awful nightmares.
- Asgeir is fond of pups, and won't mind stepping in as a father figure for those who need it(both juveniles and fully grown ups), so don't be afraid to ask ^^
