Description "Where in the world is nobility found without conceit? Where is there friendship without envy? Where is there beauty without vanity? Here one finds gracefulness coupled with power, and strength tempered with gentleness. A constant servant yet not a slave. A fighter ever without hostility. Our history was written on his back. We are his heirs. But he is his own heritage, the horse." -- H.H. Isenbart

"A horse is a thing of beauty... none will tire of looking at him as long as he displays himself in his splendor." -- Xenophon

IIRC, I think I mostly used Artist's Loft pencils.

Mine too. I feel a little bad that something so old is still one of my favorites, but... c'est la vie?

....I saw the line art, but THIS is the piece I was waiting to see. More sheer splendid-ness from the finest equine artist I have ever been fortunate enough to know. I could study this for hours, Kate....

....not at all, my friend.
...as you and I both know, there are TONS of instructional books on the shelves on how to draw horses, and in my opinion you should write your own. This drawing is as good and FAR BETTER than the drawings that I see in the method books that I have collected (and that is no B.S., you'll pardon my initials...---even you must objectively admit to that...), and I honestly am telling the truth when I say to you that I study YOUR techniques of shading horses more that I do those I find in my collection.
...I wish you would consider this.
