I was thinking of what sort of features a humanoid-fox-youkai might have, when I thought and drew this guy up originally, but really had no name or overall idea for him.EDIT: Recently when I had an art table at a convention, I added a tree to the background, since I wanted something to balance out the composition and vary it up a bit. The character finally has a name now too, since my RPG group recently started a new Pathfinder game! Tsubu is a Kitsune Oracle with three forms. This is his human form.

a fox yokai usually comes in beautiful human form, a fox form, and sometimes goes anthro. This guy would make for an awesome martial artist.

I was reading up on kitsune youkai and their different forms and stories in Japanese mythology and that's sort of what got this guy's image stuck in my head. I need to name him though!

For me, he could be many things, as a monk or even a bard! I really love his eyes, he is so handsome!

Oooh! A monk could work too! Someone else mentioned a martial artist. Maybe he is the child of a fox demon and a human who was put in a basket and shoved off into a river to get him out of his village and then found and raised by a group of monks!
Eventually I'd like to color him if I ever have time, though the more I think about giving him silver hair the more I'm wondering if I should give him bright red hair instead! What do you think?

I was reading descriptions of fox demon lore from Japanese mythology and trying to imagine what one might look like in human form. Maybe I'll figure out a way to incorporate him into a game soon!

I was imagining this guy as a 'silver fox demon' with long silvery hair. I haven't seen Yuu Yuu Hakusho though! I know of it, just haven't ever watched an episode.
