For 's calendar project~ I got May and November X3 thanks to everyone for voting on what to put in! This is my picture for May~I can't believe how long I spent on that BG and STILL messed it up. Of course, it occurred to me AFTER I had started to color the people, that although my tablet's pen is kinda wonky right now, it probably would have been easier than with my mouse (I have no control over either really though, lol)

LOL! If I do make him this year, it'd prolly be end of the year. There are other characters in the series who wear stuff like that, like the Tengu. (he's on the back cover: [link] ) His family consists of all those light-skinned tiger people, and then his adopted Kitsune family, haha.

I wanted to do a yaoi fanfiction with Rikuo and Tengu but I don't know if they go well together. I don't know why but your character designs really grabbed my attention! Maybe it's because I have a kunoichi character design that's similar to your style.
Anyway, let me know when you start your cosplay on your Rikuo! I'd love to cosplay a character from your story (with your permission) and if I'm super lucky I can take a trip down to meet you!

Lol, yeah, Rikuo's canon love interest is Hakuryu, that guy who's brushing a flower off his head XD The Tengu and Rikuo are friends, but while Rikuo is like 17, the Tengu is like 12, hahaha. Well, feudal-japan-based designs can only have so much variance, lol which helps in that regard. And it was pretty common for young men to wear short kimonos like that, too. That would be awesome

That's true about the Feudal-Japan design too. Short Kimono and fundoshi basically. Easy outfits but that just makes it easier to cosplay. Lol I'm still a kid in mind and heart so I can identify with the younger cosplay designs. I think this was also a design for kunoichi too.
Thank you so very much for giving me permission to cosplay one of your characters. Since Hakuryu is closer to my complexion I would probably do him 2nd (so I can build up my sewing skills, wouldn't want to make a horrible 1st start) It'll probably later this year when I save up some funds since I'm spending around $200 on this upcoming con.
Likewise I'll have to save up the funds to come match with you at a con. XD
Oh yeah. I'm a professional music composer. I compose orchestral (well a lot of genres) music specifically for film and games but I thought I might apply them here. Perhaps you could turn this into a flash animation or something? I'll show you some examples?

Lol, yeah, I tend to like to cosplay characters that I match on some level personality-wise. I'm grown up in some ways, but in other ways, I'm such a goofball and very "kid-like", hahaha.

Ooh, cool~ I've tried composing music before XD but it's more like...I write songs and force a friend who can write music to help me, haha. We actually wrote an "opening theme" for another of my manga projects "Zos Kias." We did all the bg stuff with a program, so the music is weird, but at least I have sheet music for it now

Awesome. It'll be a while since I have to get through Fanime which is gonna burn a hole in my wallet. I know how to make kimonos but I might order everything so it looks top notch. When I start on it I'll post a journal about it. I'm also working on a VERY big project of my own called Shadows Cast. It's about two rival kunoichi clans going at it in the shadows of the Tokugawa government, but that's another story.
Anyway I like the short kimono type of characters so gimme some more them and let me look through your story again. ^w^

I like to make my own costumes too. It's fun to put your heart, soul, tears, and blood (from sewing mistakes) into your craft.

Short Kimonos are easy to wear and make. I usually end up stumbling over longer outfits. They're like all purpose wear too.

Drumming is a lot easier actually for me too for some reason

Lol, yup~ I'm a clutz with long hanging things, anyways. Well, i say that, and now Komi is coming with me to Colossal Con, lol (only cause I'm paying most of her share, cause she's coming as my assistant). But it's cause she's in her senior semester of school, and can't afford to miss classes, in her opinion anyways. I did it in my senior semester of college...with 6 classes and 1 semester to make a vgame for my final project

LOL! Yeah, it's tiring, but Artist Alley is a minor source of income for me. So I'm able to go to as many cons as I do cause I actually make some level of money at them, lol, at the very least, enough to cover my expenses, hahah. I'm usually pretty dead right around the cons, too, haha.

Lol, it can be rough at times, but as I said, having the Artist Alley table helps. Like the convention I went to this weekend cost like less than half of what I made in the AA, so it balances out pretty easily X3
