Good god! The sheer EMOTION you're able to capture is truly incredible! BY FAR the BEST Jurassic Park/World fanart I've ever seen!

Thank you so much!
These ladies have become very dear to me over the past year, and I'm glad the picture conveys that. They're been through a lot, but they have each other and they love each other.

I just wanted to share that your face cuddles inspired me to do my own version with my headworld bird-griffins. It's nowhere near as fancy, but i've been in a bit of a rut, so, thank you. <3

I love that you not only do a beautiful job with their coloration, you also add in little detail like scars.Β

Thank you! Some of the scars in this picture are a distinguishing feature for the character, but I also added some more here to indicate life experience. No spring chicks anymore, these two.

Aww I love to imagine that this kind of thing actually happened. I guess it could be plausible considering they were pack animals which usually do form close relationships with one another (like lions I guess). <3

Thank you!
I like to think so. We don't see much in the way of raptor cuddles in JP/W canon, but an animal enjoying petting and scritches from humans tends to mean some form of physical contact for social bonding is part of the species' natural behavior among their own kind. Blue, Delta (who is also seen having different reactions to touches from someone familiar and from a stanger), and the hatchling from the first movie all seem to like petting, so JP/W raptors probably cuddle to some extent.
Not sure about real dromaeosaurids, since despite JP's shaping of their image in pop culture to be the poster dinos for pack behavior, as far as I know there's actually no currently known evidence of dromaeosaurids being social animals at all, apart from Deinonychus potentially having hunted in groups.Β Though of course even if they didn't live in large groups, plenty of present-day maniraptorans live in pairs (throughout their adult life or only during breeding season) and care for their young, and may engage in social grooming between mates and/or between parents and children.
For what it's worth, I think the JW raptors see Owen and Barry as parental figures, and for the hatchling the humans are the first creatures she sees, which, as is mentioned in the movie, for an imprinting animal means behaving towards them like it would towards parents, and the two raptors in this picture are a couple. But the JP/W Velociraptor is pretty much a fictional species of dromaeosaurid anyway, and that species is obviously very social whether or not the real ones were.

I don't know much about it, but I'll probably watch it at some point. I think it features Allosaurus in a prominent role? It's nice to get the spotlight on some different dinos for a change (in general, but also on this particular different saurus).

ik some people are bugged by my suggestions but imagine a drawing of these two walking around big rock national park and seeing the nasuto and allo duking it out on eachother

They'd probably hide to wait and see if it results in food to sneak bites of.

titanusTyphon In reply to kosmonauttihai [2019-09-14 20:37:42 +0000 UTC]
but what if the nasuto backs off and the adult allo notices them what do they do? A: fight it B: run or C: try andΒ lure it to the nasuto for a round 2?

They don't really have anything but injuries to gain from fighting the Allo.
The Allo might not care too much about them, either. Unless of course it's badly injured from the fight with the Nasutoceratops, in which case the raptors waiting in the shadows are a real threat to it once the injury has weakened it enough. But if it's well enough to continue attacking the Nasuto, I assume it would either do so on its own, or judge it not worth the risk of such injury and leave to hunt something else. If the raptors just stopped to see if free food might drop for them to pick up and they've already been noticed, too, not much reason for them to stick around if the fight's over.

yet there will be new species in JW3, equaling new dangers for them to face off against, maybe concavenator and teratophoneus?

kosmonauttihai In reply to titanusTyphon [2019-09-14 22:00:47 +0000 UTC]
On the contrary, it would be great for a JW movie to include a feathered (non-avian) dinosaur, and with something like Yutyrannus that JP/W hasn't (as far as I know) already made scaly versions of to recycle, maybe they'd actually keep it feathered.

imagine if a character dropped the F-bomb, also imagine if the green raptor from the mattel line appeared in JW3 and was a male, and blue starts to be attracted to him, meaning blue will have mates

Thank you! They're mostly vicious to things they want to eat or things that threaten them. The scariest of real life carnivores, too, tend to spend most of their time just doing stuff like resting and cleaning themselves. Or each other if that's a thing with their species.
