Description Down from the dark of the pond into the sky to the sun!

Young Aeshna cyanea (southern hawker/ BlaugrΓΌne Mosaikjungfer) - the color isn't at the top of it's brightness.
After i shot a few pics like this the dragons mussels vibrate a while. I think that's to produce heat like we do when it is cold and it get ready to start with this. After that it climbs faster and than flew up and away.
Also the grown Dragon on this picture [link] did this.

Lovely close up, this is a proper shot to show the lovely (or not so lovely in some cases) bugs living around us.
I love the flare od the sun, yet you didn't end up with a back lightened subject. Very well done.

Thanks so much!

At the morning I found this Dragonfly. It was ready to dry but I haven't had time to make a good shot. Later during midday I went back to have a look on it and it was still there in the position you can see on the picture.
It started to climb up into the light and than rest a while.
The green light comes from the Sun shining through the leafs colored it all green and some leafs in front of my lens. As you can see the sun shining through the leaf it works like a flash diffuser so the back light wasn't hard as much however I used the camera flash moderate to brighten it a little. Often I took a white post it in front of the flash to avoid hard light reflection.
