Description
Today I photographed my budgies
The blue one is Kaka, which means Cookie in swedish.
And green one is Γrtan, which means Pea in swedish.
But I guess you could figure out who's who >w<

How old are your budgies now?

two is still a good number, if you see how many people still keep only a single bird in inappropriate solitary confinement.
My yellow budgie, Tiko is the oldest now, over 7 years old. The blue ones were born around April or May 2009 and Conny, the green, is the youngest, born probably august or september 2009. Tiko is blind now since about 2 years, but he gets along with it really great!

How long does your budgies usually live?

yeah they feel very lonely easily. Thats why 2 is the smallest number they should be kept in.
My budgies Nikky and Nicky-sunny died after about 6 years. Nikki was only 4 years, almost 5, when he died from cancer.
(Nikky died in an accident and Nicky-sunny was very sick and also had a lipoma).
Kathi was a bird, a friend of mine had found on the street, and so I dunno how old she was when she came to me.
I had her over 3 years when she died from the tumor in her stomach. But I think that she was already at least 3 or 4 years old when she was found.
So my guess is she was 6 years or even older when she died.
Tiko is now about 7 years old, maybe a bit older. My other 3 budgies are now over 2 years old.
In the past, budgies could reach an age of up to 15 years but then breeders started to inbreed them to create special colors

yeah. Nowadays you gotta be really lucky to have one survive for 10 years or longer. Good luck for your budgies with that!!

But I'm a glad I know now. Or else I might got a bad conscience if they died so early >.<

yeah. With such fragile little animals, they get sick so easily. So if they die do not blame yourself.
It is better to fully enjoy the time they are with you, and when they are gone, simply to try and accept it, although its hard
