Description
The Neapolitan Mastiff, or Mastino Napolitano, is a somewhat young breed originally developed to resemble the old Mastiffs from ancient Rome. They are very good Watchdogs and at the same time Familydogs, as they are even-tempered and calm. They seem to not like running around a lot, though this can also be because of their anatomy.
Sadly, this breed got overbred in the past few years, leaving lots of pitiful wrinklemonsters. ([link] ) However, there are also breeders trying to save the breed from inzestrous overbreeding and over-typification. I wish my best luck to those breeders...
