I'm afraid not. The silver allele (nZ) is a modifier all it's own and has no connection to the creme allele (nCr) which causes palominos. Thoroughbreds cannot carry the silver allele.

i just thought of something
what if i made it a deep chocolate palomino instead?
thoroughbreds can be palomino, but idk what makes a chocolate palomino so is it possible in TBs?
it would explain his dark brown coat and light mane and tail
his sire was palomino so it would work

Hypothetically, yes it's possible, but what people usually think of as a "chocolate palomino" and what an actual chocolate palomino look like are two completely different things.
There are 4 types of palominos depending on what chestnut base the creme allele sits on.
Light chestnut = cream palomino (A+_/ee/nCr, meaning chestnut on light/wild bay, which is somewhat rare) [link]
Red chestnut = golden palomino (AA/ee/nCr) [link]
Standard chestnut = seasonal/standard palomino (At_/ee/nCr, meaning chestnut on brown)
Liver chestnut = chocolate/sooty palomino (aa/ee/nCr, meaning chestnut on black) <-- not to be confused with the sooty allele which is nSty [link]
The golden palomino color is your "classic" palomino and is the most desired because of its bright golden coat and (usually) pale mane and tail.
The seasonal palomino is your standard palomino just as its base is the standard for chestnut. It's the most common. That being said, the name is quite confusing as most palominos are seasonal (meaning their coats look different in the summer and in the winter).
Finally, the chocolate/sooty palomino is not chocolate-colored at all. Rather, it looks more like the horse rolled in mud, especially when dappling takes place. It's actually quite an ugly color compared to the other palominos. (Here is an HARPG example.) They can be all shades of "dirty gold" depending on what shade of liver chestnut the base is, but are never a rich chocolate brown. Rather, more like a burnt golden brown, and are nearly always heavily dappled with lighter gold spots. Silver dapples are often confused with chocolate palomino because of the name, but are definitely not the same. It's a completely different allele (nZ).
(Just a little trivia, in case it helps: chestnuts, no matter how light or flaxen-maned, will always shine red or copper, while a palomino, no matter how dark, will always shine gold or silver.)
So yeah. I hope that helps clear things up.

oh i know the feeling. I'm always willing to listen, it's polite and i'd love to learn about as much about horses and horse genetics as possible.
I've been on howrse.com for about 1200 days, and i barely play on there anymore. If you even try explaining something to someone they throw a fit and swear, and it's stressful. I don't take stress well ^^'
i find HARPG to be much more relaxed, and it's a lot funner
