I know this is a late reply, but she did have dark hair in the original tale. Disney went with the more popular rendition as done by illustrators and writers after Carrol.

But Alice was a originally dark hared in both the original books.

The thing is...I like most of the modern remake of the Wonderland stories....but I absolutely HATE the original stories!Β
I guess the possible symbolisms are cool but I really don't like the original story or the Disney animation. Nothing makes sense in that worldΒ Β Am I seriously only one who thinks this way?!
