The g in Lyngen is softened roughly into y from the English "yes".The name of the mountain range is pronounced roughly as "lynn-yen".
And so we are headed further east, towards the end of Isfjorden, between the mountains and beyond. It seems like we're heading out of the stormy fjord and into sunshine, too.

Kjosen or Isfjord as we call it, is a branch of Ullsfjorden, between the two parts of Lyngen.
On the right are the mountains of Southern Lyngsfjella (The Southern Lyngen Alps).
The mountain visible is Rørnestinden (1 041 m), which stands at the end of the fjord.
On the left are the slopes of Northern Lyngsfjella (The Northern Lyngen Alps).
The whole range is called Kjostindane, and these cliffs are its central part.
On the horizon, brightly sunlit, is visible the mountain Nuortanjárga.
It is on the mainland, on the other side of the fjord that borders Lyngen.
