As I lay me down to sleep I pray the Lord my soul to keep,But only if he would dare accept me.
From what you all say, I'm his black sheep,
And I'll never awaken to His light from sleep.
You say that I am wrong and a sinner and that I'll burn in Hell.
But if he's as merciful as you say he is,
Which you contradict, it'll be all well;
For I will not be banished to your beastly Hell.
Though if not, I so enjoy pyrotechnics.
