Orpheus went down to Hell to get back her beloved Euridice…
He manages to speak to the Lord of Hell, which allows him to take her back, with one condition: he would have to go in front and on their way back he could not look behind, not even for a single moment, to check if she was following him.
When he reached half of his journey he started to doubt the word of the Lord of Hell and looked back to check if she was following him. The last thing he heard was the voice of her beloved Euridice, falling back in Hell while calling his name… Orpheus… Orpheus... Orpheus...

Trust is one of the most important and difficult things to learn in a relationship. Nevertheless, such a blind trust sounds to me a bit too religious... I need something back as well, a soft whisper saying carry on, i'm here, i'm yours... then i can carry on without looking back; then you can turn your back to me, inviting me for that sweet embrace where you will sleep protected, wanted and having the sweetest of dreams...

I think you hit it, then again I may be interpreting you wrong. I think trust is something that can not be earned like respect but is a decision that we make to do. We decide that no matter what we will trust, we love, therefore we will trust, we love,we place out hearts in their hands, therefore we MUST trust or ask ourselves why take the chance? If I decide to trust someone and they do me wrong, does that mean they are not worthy of trust or just mean that they have no respect for our love and the trust that exists in it?
"I am here." Three little words you ask for and yet carry so much, but mean so much more when said, that they are like unto gifts sacred at the right moment.

yes, rather insightful story,of orpheus... more like saying that without trust all love and hope is lost..and also..that human nature is such that needs reciprocation..we can carry for that long further down the road the burden by ourselves. great words anyway...
