I have a question. Where do you get your designs for your characters' costumes? Also, where did you get the backgrounds for the Revan drawings you did?

The attire designs I get mostly from the outfits that exist in the movies and/or comics and video games. Whether I use the exact designs or just take certain details from them to create new outfits that you might find in the Star Wars universe. This pic of Mara for instance is basically the outfit she usually wears in the comics and Japanese book covers, I just removed her cloak and gave her different armor for her legs.

As for the backgrounds, a couple pics I used screenshots taking from The Knights of the Old Republic video game. Other than that I paint them myself using Paint Shop Pro, though I usually use a simple star pattern backdrop for most of my pics.

Thanks for the info! I'll keep it in mind. I really would like to start doing backgrounds for my own SW artwork. I say this because I want to do drawings based on scenes from the "Survivor's Quest" novel by Tim Zahn. Which means drawing the Outbound Flight ship, the "Chaf Envoy" and its interiors, and the outfits of Feesa and the Outbound Flight descendents. Any tips there?
