Description "...welcome to the Blue Lantern Corp. All will be well."

I should point out that I'm rattling these off quickly and that I have great trouble with textures and lighting on wooden objects.

Today's fun fact: technically, there was originally only one TARDIS, that being the Doctor's Type 40 TT Capsule. It was his granddaughter Susan who dubbed the vessel 'TARDIS' as an acroynim of the core properties.

And in this case, I do mean that the TARDIS is the Blue Lantern. Go and look up the properties of their rings and you'll see why. (And power rings really aren't the Doctor's style, now are they?)

DC, BBC etc own the concepts, I own this idea. Nominally.

The War Doctor could have been a Red Lantern. Green Lantern rest of the time. That combo would make his job a lot easier, at least until the Master steals an Orange Ring. Davaros should be forced to wear the Indigo ring, and through him, the Daleks in general could multiply the Indigo Tribe a billion fold. They would be naked, without vehicles.
Yellow would be dominated by "the Silence".

To quote the ever-knowing Wiki,

In fearful day, in raging night,
With strong hearts full, our souls ignite,
When all seems lost in the War of Light,
Look to the stars-- For hope burns bright!

that is BRILLIANT!
would the doctor have his own ring too, though? like green, so they could play off each others powers?

I guess that would be the best way to go...and the Sonic Screwdriver currently glows a very vivid green...

Why not? Combine two do-anything magic devices into one all-powerful omnitool!

Bah, the Doctor simply "borrowed" it. It's funny you brought this up because in light of Blackest Night, I was going to apply the lanterns to the different doctors and enemies:
Black would be Prat's degenerating Master.
The 6th will gain Orange, forcing him to claim all the rings, thus his Technicolor dream coat.
The Cyber contoller also Orange, for assimilation, and forcefully "adopt" new entries into the Cyborange Corps.
And Davros, well, it be a surprise.

I, personally, would give the Black Ring to either Sutekh or the Fendal, both of whom, while not dead, are far more connected to it in my mind than the Master. That, and I have this wonderful image of the Master in the classic Hal Jordan 'Mwahahahahaa' pose with one or more of every colour on his fingers.

The Cybermen with Orange does work, you're right...though orange Cybermen...? Hmm...

Oh that image of the multi-ring master is brilliant, I know it's a little harsh but: Black Lantern Adric?

Heh...well, that would make sense...though I doubt there'd be much of a body to reanimate.

Actually, the Type 40 TARDIS wasn't originally the Doctor's. He stole it.

True. 'Doctor's' TARDIS in the loosest possible sense. In a finder's/keeper's sort of way...

Simplest solution would be to make the light coming from the Eccleston/Tennant console blue rather then green.

And give the Doctor the power ring
(after all, it's not the first time he wore a magic blue sapphire ring...)

I rather like that image of the console - not too far off the McGann console's lighting, I suppose. And good point with the ring. Still...

Neat but where would she wear it?

Librarian-bot In reply to Fennius [2010-02-07 16:56:49 +0000 UTC]

Somewhere on her console, I suppose. Actually, you could do soemthing like Mogo and integrate the lamp battery into her central column...

Or something (*waves hands*)
