____________Rules____________- These are tryout adoptables. You can only get them by writing information about the character you want to adopt.
- Only one character per person!
- Come first, get first.
- These adoptables have been designed for the group Caspanas-RPG and for its sub-group Fairy-Lands . The designs therefore belong into the world of Mereldia and must remain there. If you plan to leave the group, then the designs will go back to me. You are not allowed to covert them over to other worlds.
- Keep to what information is given already and elaborate on that.
- You do not have to be a member of Caspanas-RPG to adopt them. If you are not a member already, then you will automatically become one upon adopting the character.
- the designs may be altered only SLIGHTLY, so that they still are the same design (the colour palette has to stay the same).
- Write the character's information fully. Fill out the things that are not given or detemine those that are still only given vaguely and then also add a personality and backstory.
If you have lore trouble, then visit the group's website to look the lore up!

Ok, earlier this month I felt like designing some characters to fill up Jengu, and now I ended up letting the Affiliations mostly open. :'D

Art, Mhariri's father, had no intentions of being in the picture whatsoever as he is an Unseelie in the forest of Jengu, and her mother was easy game to be played with in a forest so dangerous, silly Mortal, don't you know you're on their menu? After Art had lured the mare deep into the woods where the swamps were the thickest, dragged her under, let her surface for a few seconds only to drag her back under again, let her struggle in the swampy brush, all apart of his games he was playing before he planned to eat her she escaped! But not before Art's boredom with his food had led him to bred with her. Mhariri's mother could pull miracles out of thin air, and this was one of them. Soon the mare fell pregnant however, and she did not want to raise this boy/girl by herself. A pregnant female of any species should be labeled with DO NOT MESS WITH ME, she marched right back in that forest and scoured the land for Art until she found him, the two had quite the argument, and he didn't right then and there eat her because of the little one on board.
One that had the blood of a Mortal and the blood of a Kelpie, the child to be peaked his interest, perhaps he would eat them both when he/she was delivered, two birds with one stone. When Mhariri was born she was a wee thing she was raised by her father Art, who never bothered to tell her that she is half Mortal, leaving it completely in her mind that she is full Kelpie, what is or was of her mother isn't known to her because Art does not speak of her to Mhariri, she never even caught a glimpse of her at birth, it's rumored that she passed away, or simply abandoned Art and her daughter all together, Mhairi does not know because she cannot recall the event of her birth, only Art knows ( which he did eat her ) . Art was about to devour the child as well as the Unseelie court highly frowns upon a Mortal ANYTHING if he didn't do something about the child, then they surely would, but he could not brin himself to kill the lass. That left Art to play the roles of two parents, which was difficult for him, and he tried to work as best he could, but in the forests of Jengu it was very difficult with others left and right wanting to take a bite out of your child but so long as he was there they could bring no harm to her, creature or the court, but he knew he could not be there for her forever, he had his own life to live too. Mhariri questioned why others wanted to eat her, or treated her differently yet did not treat her father the same way, he explained that she just has a sweet scent to her. The Kelpie side of her he harped on as he ignored the Mortal blood in her completely although it disgusted him, he wouldn't let her know that truly, he raised her with everything he believed in, that Mortals are disgusting, they should be eaten ( knowing very well she was half Mortal ) he instilled all his tricks and clever wits so that one day when he does leave her for good, she may have a fighting chance to survive in these forests, and raised her as if she were a true Kelpie, hunting down Mortals and eating them, to play games with them, and she didn't question the lifestyle even though all around her still reminded that she was different.
Not knowing the first clue about a child, or being a parent Art decided that the age of 7 was a good time to cut ties with her, he had nothing else to give her, he taught her all he could in hopes she survives. He would at least give her a fighting chance, a choice.. He led her to the skirts of the forests, told her directions of all the surrounding places she could go, that she had to go make a life for herself out there in this big ol' world, should she return to Jengu though, what happens then is because of her.
Mhariri whaled and pleaded to stay with Art, but he was not having it, he scooted her away from the tree line and into the horizons and made his way back disappearing in the brush. That was the last time Mhariri saw her father. So she set off, eventually landing herself into the lands of the faction of Nordberg, she was apart of the low society of course, made friends, and did well for herself as a petty thief, taking what she needs to survive, a kill or two, and maybe steal some extra to treat herself to something nice.. She lived this lifestyle for a year as she turned 8 in her new "Home" But it never sat as a place to call home for her, because of the discontent in her she needed a new adventure, she once again took to the lands of Mereldia.
Current
Discovering the lifestyle of those that are Independent she had a choice, to be a Criminal of sorts like her past, or become a Wanderer, she took the fun path of course! A Criminal! Wouldn't Art be proud. She is currently looking for a little band of her own to join.

. Mhairi does not know that she is Mortal, because of how Art raised her she fully believes that she is a full blooded Kelpie that is just a little different from everyone else.
. Because she is half kelpie, she cannot drown, therefore can breathe underwater just as a normal kelpie can

as to answer your question: Yes, they do breed. Sometimes, when they're bored and overfed. The only thing you'd probably need to change is the "chasing her through the forest" part since kelpies are ambush predators and lure their prey to the water (pond, lake, bog, river, etc.) they reside at by taking a form that invites the prey to come closer (like a helpless child, an extremely good-looking female (when the prey is male) or male (when the prey is female). If they leave the water and run to the forest, they are most likely to encounter dry things, which are like a kelpie's worst enemy. Dry things stick to them, which is how they catch their prey. Once they stick to them, they cannot escape anymore and so the kelpie can eat them.
In Mhairi's case, as a half kelpie she'd not have those abilities. She would not be able to drown, therefore could breathe underwater like normal kelpies, but she'd lack the ability to transform and to let dry things stick to her.
The Unseelie court usually regards half fae children as disgraces and eliminates them upon hearing about them. So Art would have to keep her a secret or just pretend that her other half is nor mortal but demon or somehting like that (basically anything but mortal is acceptable there).
You wouldn't have to change much of the story overall. Just the part where Art chases Mhairi's mother to luring her to him (maybe appearing as a lost good-looking stallion). And also maybe add an identity crisis when Mhairi could question Art why he can transform and why dry things stick ot him while she hasn't either of that.
also small note aside: we refer to the different factions as "factions" only outgame. Ingame it's just places that are known and then there are those who wander. (so there basically are only two differences) :3

matroschka carries herself quite confidently but usually keeps to herself, knowing what the other residents of nordberg think of her she tries to keep her distance but isnt unkind when someone speaks to her. after all the tragedy in her life when she was young she has matured quickly and is often serious however she can be easily irritated, especially with people who refuse to believe that she is anything more than a witch.
story: (more will be added once character is drawn and better developed)
when matroschka was young her father markos was killed for his association with the dark arts. fearing for her life, her mother magdalena who was a notorious thief fled nordberg leaving her children behind knowing they would only slow her down. shortly after their father's death her brother mahershala became possessed, many said it was their father who had returned to punish him for reasons only he knew. left with only a few old books magdalena stole from the grand library for markos, matroschka attempted to educate herself as best she could and tried to cast the spirit out of mahershala. however the exorcism didnt work and she helplessly watched her brother suffer at the hands of the demon within him and eventually die. haunted by the event and left with no one to turn to matroschka went into hiding and devoted her life to perfecting exorcisms so she wouldnt have to see anyone else suffer the way her brother did.

Backstory: Neveah was once a bright, trusting soul, the young one's spirits somehow undampened by the forest of Jengu. Even growing up in an unseelie "family", the fae always managed to keep her true nature a secret as her family was strongly opposed to seelies and related. The only other seelie in the siren's family was her younger sister, Europa - the light of her life. The two of them quietly practiced the life of a seelie, and bonded closely over this, leaving the two of them closer than Neveah ever was to her own parents. However, this all changed one day when she met a charming mortal who had somehow stumbled into her, lost, wounded, and tired. She cared for him in secret, careful to keep her family in the dark about him. Over time, Neveah fell in love with him. She eventually confessed her true feelings, and the two of them made plans to run away to his homeland. It was perfect. And then it all fell to pieces. The same mortal who had whispered sweet words of love and affection slaughtered her entire family, leaving not a single one alive - he murdered Europa in front of her very eyes. After laughing cruelly and jeering at her for all the trust and love she had ever placed in him, he left her to wallow in the blood and sorrow that he had caused, vanishing without a trace. Holding the broken body of her beloved sister in her arms, she made a bitter vow that day to never trust a mortal again and promised to avenge Europa. There is still light in her heart to this day, yes, but it has become disfigured and broken, still aching with pain and loss. Neveah still helped most traveling mortals throughout the years, but gave off a frightening demeanor, scaring off most before they could ask her. The siren remains fearful to this day of trusting anyone again, and simply helps quietly, stubbornly sticking to her life mission, however unwillingly.

So if you want to try out for one of these characters, you have to fill such info out for them To draw them is not necessary
