Description
Commission for"The concept behind it was Toph in her twenties and traveling about - in this case, she's in the Earth Kingdom and just left a branch of Iroh's tea shop (notice the red lanterns at the doorway with the pai sho symbols emblazened on them XD).
Toph's bo-stick was an older idea; a gift from Iroh (with dragons!) she uses it to pretend she's really blind, in communication (bopping Aang on the head or knees never lost its charm to Toph haha) or as a makeshift weapon (Toph's metal-bending)"

I had so much fun with this piece, and got to really challenge myself.

this is very lovely, a well thought out speculation on an older Toph.
I can see by the walk-through you posted as well that you took your time and poured allot of effort into this single work, experimenting with different colours, outfits, and so on. you time and effort really shows. Good job!
she and Iroh are by far my favorites, i am also very fond they're relationship, they share some profound wisdom.

Thank you. Admittedly I have a tendency to draw only portraits or jump straight right into a painting with no planning. The planning and experimenting with thumbs have been really helpful for breaking bad habits and pushing myself to higher challenges/compositions.
I love Toph, Zuko and Iroh - since they're my most favorite characters in Atla, it's just so fun to draw them.

Ah, that was the perspective grid [link] I use it as a guide to draw buildings and objects and so on.

I must say I love this piece. You've captured the Avatar world and recreated Toph to be more beautiful and charming with her walking stick. Props to you.

Hmmm... I played a short demo a long while ago and that was basically it. I don't know anything about the game or the characters, other than it's based on Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Well, all of the characters in the game, (save a few) are based on actual historical figures from that time period. The series nowadays is strategic hack 'n slash though it originally started as a fighting game.

Thanks! I admire a lot of Taiwanese artists and am heavily influenced by that style. It's not a very easy style to emulate though!
