Description sometimes. Christians are allowed to lie (only they, of course)!

"A theory is called mental reservation,   and it has been very widely followed. For example, the Society of Jesus (the Pope!!!)has been especially associated with various doctrines of mental reservation throughout most of its history.

An example may help. If you ask an attorney whether his client is guilty, he may properly answer "I don’t know," and intelligent people in his culture will understand that this means "I have no communicable information to impart." Hence the attorney uses a mental reservation about what he means by the words "I don’t know," but it is a mental reservation understandable by all parties (termed a "wide" mental reservation, because its meaning is widely available).   Asking a friend, family member or secretary to tell a caller you are "not in" is another example of wide mental reservation. The statement is technically false, but social convention supplies a more ambivalent meaning.

One problem with mental reservation theory is that it can make truth-telling dependent on one’s capacity for spur-of-the-moment mental sleight-of-hand (often called "strict" mental reservation because it exists strictly in the speaker’s mind alone).

For example, if you’ve been playing baseball in the street (again!) and you break your neighbor’s window, the neighbor may run out and demand to know whether you did it. Under some theories of mental reservation, you can answer "no" if you are really thinking "No, I did not break it with my bat; it was the ball that broke it."

Such equivocations, whose true sense is determined only by the mind of the speaker, were condemned by the Holy See as early as 1679."

I'll see your rat-catching cat and raise you my pitbull when he caught a pigeon in my backyard, and didn't wanna give it up (he wasn't being vicious, he's a full-size puppy, and simply pranced around with the bird carcass, trying to tease me)
The christian "pro-life" movement is also rather "pro-lie," lying that ALL who aborted regretted it permanently, those who gave birth NEVER regretted it, exaggerate the actual fetal development, et al.

So true! These christian pro-life people can only lie, it seems.

And resort to dirty tricks and tactics I recall... Posing in fake clinic attire, setting up right next to abortion clinics hoping to lure pregnant females into the wrong one, pretend to escort them to their abortion appt. only to stop instead at a church after a big preaching agenda speech that they deliberately caused them to miss their appt. sweeping all non-regretful abortive females (along with regretful birthers) under the rug like they don't exist, and those that argue otherwise are just demonized.

They do that?! Omg! That's awful!!! They just seem plain evil now. Both anti-choicers and religious folk. And does anyone do anything about these awful people?

Sorry I forgot to reply

yeah, they should better adopt children instead of stressing others, when they would be honest, they would do so. It is also not up to them, what others should regret and if they do or not.

Okay, sure.
People say this is cute and funny and all,
But when I bit a Christian in the back of the neck all I got was a restraining order.

You really would bite something that ugly, unhealthy and sick?   I mean cats eating rats, they can bear that. So the restraining order was maybe only to save YOU, from them

I think that animal in the top photo might be a squirrel. Does remind me of a time I was walking downtown and freaked out when a rat ran out in front of me. We'd been having a lot of rain at the time, so maybe it got flooded out of whatever sewer it had been living in.

Also reminded me of a cat I had that would be the sweetest little so-and-so around until he caught something. Then he'd stand over it a few minutes and growl like a jungle cat before tearing into it.

Same happened to me too and these rats were quite huge! Almost like a cat Was weird.

Yep, my one killed a mouse too, I was told so. Wasn't there in that moment, so I can't imagine that, really. She was pretty cruel, they said, playing first and killing slowly

A Prayer Bastet, hail Bastet

"Beloved Bastet, mistress of happiness and bounty, twin of the Sun God, slay the evil that afflicts our minds as you slew the serpent Apep. With your graceful stealth anticipate the moves of all who perpetrate cruelties and stay their hands against the children of light. Grant us the joy of song and dance, and ever watch over us in the lonely places in which we must walk."
