Okay, so this is actually a huge oil painting I did on canvas and to be honest I am so stinking proud of it haha This sucker took me almost two months. It's not perfect but I'm totally content with it
Anywho, the plane is a P-38 Lockheed Lightning WW2 bomber plane (American) if you were curious.
I would love, love, love some feedback on this baby!
[This piece won a silver key in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, so, hooray for that, right?]

Hah, it's all good! What fun would it be in life if we actually remembered everything? I mean, I know school was a lot more exciting when I was panicking because I forgot my homework, hah! Its just like a natural flavoring. A forgetful spice or whatever to add some zest to life hah!

Very nice. I recognized the Lightning. It's so detailed and smooth for an oil painting! I like the eyebrow in particular--it looks so realistic with the line variance and different colors you used.

Yeah, I hoped it would have meaning to it, so that really means a lot to me, thanks! My grandpa was a veteran as well.
But I've just always had a fascination with WW2 and especially planes... I just find them incredibly interesting

That's actually an odd coincidence, because I got a silver key in the Scholastic awards for something I made this year as well! The main difference is that I absolutely despise my drawing now and I messed up so bad on it xD I'm not even sure how it got any awards whatsoever.

Haha thats how any artist is. I could point out fifty mistakes in this piece, trust me. You just have to remember that people can overlook those little bits pretty easily- its only obvious to the creator. You just have to sort of love the piece despite its imperfections and be content with its improvement compared to other previous pieces, y'know?
