Amethyst is one of those stones that comes in a more specific color set; maybe it's because I'm basic, but I've never liked the paler purple hues in gemstones. I remember getting a necklace one Easter that had amethysts (not sure if they were real or not) that were kind of a pale pinky-purple that I thought was really kinda ugly; my mother got one each for me and my sister, and said that each one "match them perfectly," and I thought, "Chunky and ugly?" Neither of them was, but I did not like that color, so I did not use it for this piece. Please enjoy; thank you!
