The younger sister of Yavanna, Vána is pretty much the Middle Earth equivalent of Persephone; she is called the Ever Young and the flowers of spring open at her coming. Unlike Persephone, Vána's husband is Oromë the Huntsman, who brought the Mearas (super intelligent horses) to Middle Earth and gifted the hound Huan to Fëanor's son Celegorm, who turned out to be a real jerk who kidnapped the princess Lúthien, so Huan left to go with Lúthien to save her lover Beren.
