Zephyr Breeze had only just finished brushing his mane when he heard a knock at his front door.

He was already grumbling as his hoof pushed the latch open. "Y'know, Mom and Pop, it's kinda rude to pop over to a pony's bachelor pad unannounced-"

"Blessings~"

"Treezy?!" Zephyr's jaw dropped open. "Holy hell, girl, where in Equestria have you been? It's been almost a year-!"

"Relax, sky brother." Treehugger said serenely. "I was on a journey...a journey most personal and intimate."

"Yeah, but to where?" Zephyr was growing impatient, and it didn't help that Treehugger was still giving him her signature drowsy, lopsided smile, as though she'd done nothing out of the ordinary. "You just up and vanished-if it weren't for your letters to Fluttershy I'd have assumed you wandered off a cliff daydreaming or something! What happened? Where did you go?"

"Here, there, and everywhere in between." Treehugger hummed. "Though I didn't wander the land so much as I wandered the depths of my own mind, body, and spirit. For you see, the Earth mother Gaia has blessed our cosmic union with a gift all her own."

Zephyr blew air through his nose. "Sweet Celestia. I dig you, Hugs, I do, but I only understand about thirty percent of everything you say at any given moment."

"Well, prick up your ears for this, dude." She smiled wider. ".....So soon after we lay entwined in our act of cosmic bliss, I felt the stirrings of the earth mother deep within my core, and I left to prepare myself, so that when the time came, I could visit my favorite flower meadow to bear my own, unique blossom of creation."

"Bear your own..." Zephyr trailed off, before he started to snicker. "Blossom of creation? Ha, I'm sorry, Hugs, but I must not be as enlightened as you are, because it sounds to me like you're trying to say you had some sorta baby or someth-"

A tiny, soft coo sounded from somewhere hidden on Treehugger's back.

Zephyr's joke died on his tongue.

Instead he watched, wide-eyed and gawking, as Treehugger turned away from him, and when she turned back, she was holding a tiny, fuzzy green bundle by the scruff of its neck. She had to work carefully to speak around her mouthful of fur and downy soft feathers.

"Zephyr Breeze....I invite you to bid blessings to our beautiful cosmic child, the fruit of our union....our son, Chakra Blossom."

Zephyr felt himself suck in a deep, shaky breath. He eyed Treehugger, then the pudgy, peacefully sleeping little foal, and his mouth opened to form words.

"...Blessings." Was all Zephyr managed to croak out, before his world collapsed, and his legs buckled under him in a dead faint.
