*Small chuckle* "No, Max. That's a number, it's pronounced thirteenth."
*Looks up at him* "Number...? Aw, not another mess-up!"
"Don't worry, but try to remember: this is how numbers are written, see the difference between the normal letters? Letters are for words, numbers are for counting."

...Because I noticed that even if these two are supposed to be traveling companions, I never drew them interacting! Yes, Max is trying to learn to read. He saw Josen always writing or reading what to his eyes appeared to be "ants" (Let's see how many of you get the reference!) and when Josen told him it was a "language that didn't need a voice" he got intrigued and decided to try it. And for those who wonder... they are using a gossip magazine, why? Because these magazines actually use a much simpler language compared to scientific ones or actual books. Also it was probably the first thing they found in the hotel's hall, which must be a very cheap one judging by the not-so-great-looking furniture

Phew, it's a quickie I have pulled out in a few hours. I still need to get Max's size right, I'm not sure myself of how big he is exactly yet, but this image should be close enough. Also I really need to get better on the perspective... badly! Yes... Max is supposed to be squatting down to get a better view of the page, can't I get any worse!?
