.wanted to paint something .. just to feel that I still can create ..
took my face from the picture 'Return to Untieru..' [link] as reference for the main lighting .. used new brushes I've just made today ..
so that's what came out .. I think I like it ..

ok, this is an exception to the comment i made before about sophisticated color choices. in this one, the color is trumped by the fantastic uniqueness in both technique and concept.

What came out is the scent of dreams... The scent of dreams in a cold afternoon next to the fireplace...
The image in my mind when I wake up and remember the "there" but know I am "here"...
Grateful for seeing this "there", and melancholic about being "here" again...

As usual, I love the texture of your brushes and how you use them! There's an interesting mix between sharpness and blurry areas. Just a minor thing: isn't the hair on the right supposed to drop shadow on the face?

thank you all .. it really may have been inspired by Eilidh work on some way .. I think mostly the shine coming from the darkness effect .. though in fact faces is quite usual theme for my paintings too, so I just work on something that's really close to me ..
