Much as I love taking your money, I gotta appointment with a lady and I ain’t gonna pass that up for you fine gentlemen or your coins. Worth it? Son, you have no idea. Besides, I’m giving you a last shot at winning your money back. Now deal them cards and ante up." - Hedrak Sawyer

"Good evening, gentlemen. You can thank your associate Puskar for leading me back to your hideout. I’ve been looking forward to meeting the Black Nail Gang for some time. Now... shall we dance?" - The Rose Specter

(Left) Hedrak Sawyer was left an orphan in his early teens. He survived on his own, learning to pick both locks and pockets and stealing what he needed to get by. He was a very charming young man, and could usually talk his way out of trouble on the rare occasions that he was caught. As he grew into an adult, Hedrak continued his life of crime, joining a small gang of bandits and becoming a highwayman. He was moderately successful until he tried to rob the wrong group of adventurers. Soundly beaten, he ended up in jail. After his release, Hedrak chose to make his coin as a gambler. He eventually became an adventurer in his own right. He has now acquired enough wealth to be semi-retired, and lives with a beautiful elven woman who is the love of his life.

(Right) The Other Hedrak was also unfortunate enough to lose his parents and end up alone in his youth. Although he sometimes had to steal food and other items to get by, he disliked having to do so. When the cruel boss of a local crime ring tried to recruit Hedrak by force, young Hedrak became the enemy of those who would break the law. From then on he worked as many legal odd jobs as he could, making many friends and contacts. As a grown man, Hedrak is a successful gambler and socialite who frequents all the most exclusive clubs of of his city and rubs shoulders with its young elite. But after midnight when the clubs close their doors, he dons his mask and hood and becomes the scourge of criminal underworld - the Rose Specter.
