Description First attempt in a kind of movement studies which was on my mind since quite some time.
Wanted to show the contradiction of calmness and movement in one shot, on one person. No manip.

Those who know me know that I love to dance, itΒ΄s really a passion of me. I love classical dance but also freestyle, south american, jazz...and itΒ΄s always a combination of calmness and movement, correctly dosed and always in step or slightly displaced (depends on the dance).

tools of the trade: a petticoat and a kind of technique of breathing, to stand still and move at the same time during a quite long exposure

The combination of movement and light here really fascinates me. It's simply beautiful - angelic and feminine. The tones are gorgeous, the outfit is gorgeous - that skirt is so delicate and beautiful, the way it swirls and puffs around you.

How long was the exposure time? I'm going to get my feet wet with movement photography soon and searched for tips and inspiration using the word movement, and your dance-series really caught my eye as beautiful, delicate and interesting. Wonderful work

fantastic piece dear, amazing idea and great outcome..
only obsrvation i could make here is that it might look a bit more.. complete were the feet not cut out, on the lower part.
the part cut out could perhaps add a lot to the overall movement brought out of this photo..

still, it's great.. a very nice surprise
