Description He spoke to her at the bottom of the stairs, it went like this normally, every morning at 630AM before he left the house for another hard day at work. This morning was different however, for as he continued, all she could be occupied with, was the distraction of the blue-jay that had just flown by the window to which she stared out of.
      She stood at the stop of the staircase, occasionally looking down, as he continued to speak, however in her hazing state, which in every other case would have been completely out of character, she found it extremely difficult to pay attention.

Despite her seemingly step backward in time, Elizabeth had grown so tired. It had seemed like there was nothing else to do now, but almost re-live what she already had had oh so many years ago. Before the twins, before Elijah. Just the two of 'them', prim in the midst of their early twenties. Playful, and both so sarcastic with lust. The dog days of the organization didn't seem too far behind in her eyes when she looked at Trenton. He resembled him so much, yet, not at all. A much softer face despite the facial hair, and the lack of inked skin also made it a little easier. He was just a boy in, but held the familiarity of the soldier she once knew and loved. And it worked for now.

The world was a much different place then it had been those many years ago. Some say it changed for the better, and then, of course there were the ones who protested it to be for the worse. One thing Elizabeth could be grateful for, was being almost comfortable within her own inked skin. No more teaching, she had given up on that long ago and now lead, a simple, youthful looking life. Unfortunately, tossing aside the dresses and gowns for a more comfortable, rebellious fit was one of the only things she could be comfortable and honest with, for with this new life she had been living the past little while, was buried and keeping a deep secret. Trenton knew nothing of such an intense life beforehand. Knew nothing of the decades she had spent on earth so far, -how many children- or that she had even had children at all. For once, she had even lied about her age; twenty-eight, and proudly gotten away with, and stuck with it. Keeping in contact, and regulated check ups with, the now very aged Dr. Emma Maragh,(Late Arthur's beloved apprentice and assistant) always had its perks. Especially when it came to her now, more youthful appearance.

"Byee~ Lizard breath!" He hollered;
so childish as he almost skipped out and onto the front patio-deck, the door slamming behind as he  quickly hopped into the vehicle that waited, parked a front the house.
      Trenton made her forget, and enjoy what a youthful life was all about, however in the same breath, could remind her so much of the husband that once was. She would think about it sometimes, after a few glasses of aged rum, for it seemed that the wine had lost its fancy luster. The family she once tried so hard to hold together was lost, and so infinitely it was. Not even Jonah, her own son, had bothered contacting her within the last seven years.  And Christina, though always a subconscious thought and worry, was no doubt still wallowing within the same drunken path as her Father once led. And if she was still anything like Christian, which Elizabeth didn't doubt for a second, she could rest easy with the belief that Christina would at least be 'alright'.

As she mounted the few stairs left and nestled back into the double bed,surrounded by just as many pillows as she would normally like to acquire, she released a sigh. Nostalgic for maybe the first time since it all happened, but quickly wanted so desperately to push it out of her mind. After all, it was Thursday, and since now living the 'youngster's' lifestyle, she had quickly learned, that the warrior began on this particular night. It also meant the time to take that subtle, little snow white pill, and get completely lost, innocent and careless to the fact of anything and all things serious. She couldn't wait to laugh. She couldn't wait to smile...to feel actually human, and forget the past for those few stretched hours.
