I wanted a feline character so I sketched a little and this happened ~ I didn't inteded to color it, but I wanted to see what colors or markings that would fit, so I did.
I haven't decided if it's going to be a male or female, but I'm going to call it Amure regardless.
The leaves on it's back isn't some kind of decoration, but grows there naturally. They are helping the animal catch prey by sending out a soporific scent through the air.

An ocelot that uses the aroma of plants to attract pray, very creative idea you got here.
I really like the look of the bright yellow crossing with the natural greens.
If I were to recommend an idea (for the character), I would say the should you make this a female.
The male could have a larger mane with broader, darker stripes, and perhaps larger feet and a wider mouth. Also, I think if the male had bright pink, large flowers with berries it would really give it a unique look.
Anyway, that's just my suggestion/ opinion, really nice job with the design and piece overall though. Thanks for sharing.
