The snow on the tree to the right, was that done with metaballs?
The leafless plants in front may have been splines, and the snow on the ground could be a material with displacement right?
Sorry, I just like trying to figure out how artists make their scenes. Helps me understand how stuff works better

nice fluffy snow on the roof.
the ground and the tree on the right side look perfect!
the background is something you should rework - the scale doesn't match and therefore the trees dwarf the building and wreck the feeling of scale.
