Now I know this image isn't as nice as my other butterfly images. Let me explain. This is the atlas moth, it is the largest moth in the world, it only lives for about a week and this guy had been alive for about a week so he was at the end of his lifespan. They only live for about a week because once they become a moth they lose the ability to eat, they don't have a stomach. I didn't want to bother him in his last moments of life as well as he was on the roof of the butterfly enclosure and I don't yet have a zoom lense.
