Just a quick drawing of my new D&D character! He's a Tiefling, and a super good boi!
Story:
Name: Antonio
Class: Priest
Race: Tiefling
"Greetings! My name is Antonio. Weird name for a Tiefling? That is,because I was raised by Father Remington, a human from the western Cathedral of the Light Gods.
No,no, Father Remington is not my biological father; he found me at the Cathedral's doorstep when I was a newborn, and took me under his protection, raising me like his own son, since the Gods, didn't bless him with children of his own. That is the very reason of my peculiar name.
Although my horns, skin colour and tail, attracted several odd looks, and negative comments, the people of our Church, taught me that good exists in all living beings and I am not something vile or dishonest, just because I am different. With that belief I also grew up, and thus became an honest and humble Cleric, that helps with any means possible, anyone in need, regardless of race or faith. In our Church, we paid tribute to all Gods of Light and Justice. The God I worship, is Eldath.
I left the Cathedral when I turned 18, in a personal research of my roots, to find clues about who my parents are,and why they abandoned me in the cold stairs of the Cathedral; questions born out of pure curiosity, and not anger.
For two years I traveled on foot, helping all people in need,in every village I visited;while gathering information. Those couple of years, I realized, that, perhaps I do not have the need to discover my roots. I only ever knew one family, regardless of not sharing the same blood. What I needed, was to travel, and to help.
In the last village I visited, I met an old acquaintance of mine; we may not interact much, back in the Church, but we ended up becoming really good friends, out here in the wilds. He never seemed to mind my race, and our companionship is fruitful and real, despite our differences.
For the past few years, I have been working as a mercenary, with my comrade, in this bizarre, unwelcoming desert called Calim. Mercenary work, sounds a little strange for a cleric of course, but in these dunes, nomads exists,as well ass villages with sick people, and enormous, dangerous monsters. With this job, I make sure that no sick is left untended, and the monsters and bandits stay away from the defenseless. But before anything, I help my friends, in their time of need.
Although my first thoughts of my job as a Mercenary wasn't so positive, I bonded with my new comrades, and finally felt like I belonged somewhere, and was truly blessed for having a second family, with whom we have overcome such harsh situations. Because, through hardships, the Gods test our endurance and will, making us better, and stronger people.
