At least you got her hair color, the pilot episode didn't even get THAT right. xD
I really appreciate your version here, it's almost exactly how I picture the scene myself. The main difference is that I imagined it less broken-up and torn down, and more like the stone had shifted and rolled and warped, but I guess that would be far more difficult to draw, and hard to convey from this angle. I REALLY like this, though, you did a great job capturing the overall feel of the scene as well as details like, as I mentioned, Ilyena's hair. Well done!

"Remember, you fool! Remember your futile attack on Great Lord of the Dark! Remember his counterstroke! Remember! Even now the Hundred Companions are tearing the world apart, and every day a hundred men more join them. What hand slew Ilyena Sunhair, Kinslayer? Not mine. Not mine. What hand struck down every life that bore a drop of your blood, everyone who loved you, everyone you loved? Not mine, Kinslayer. Not mine. Remember, and know the price of opposing Shai'tan!"
Thank you for this.

awesome. I watched pilot and sat wondering, " Why is Ilyena Sunhair a brunette?" :/
Your work does capture the despair of the moment.

This is really, really good. It captures the mood of the prologue very nicely. And thank you for making Ilyena blonde, as she should be. The dust in the air is also an awesome touch.
And yea that pilot was horrible, but we all know why they did it. >.>

It was really poorly done. I don't blame the actors or the people who were hired to work on it - they were just doing their job - I blame the people responsible for getting it made in the first place, who gave it so little time and care. They were clearly not doing their job.

Wheel of Time is a fantastic read and I think you captured the pain and madness well. I didn't know there was a pilot for it though. I have not seen it as of yet.

Oh my GOD!
Ok I don't know who signed off on that but Robert Jordan is rolling over in his grave! They took the heart wrenching scene of pain, loss, and madness so great that it manifested itself into a mountain where there was none before and turned it into an afternoon chat!!!
I don't know who the actor is but seriously "light forgive me" said three times in monotone only tells the audience that you read your script maybe once and have no idea what you are supposed to be feeling!
It was supposed to be screamed in a maddening rage Β and plea for forgiveness of that which could not be forgiven in his eyes. I hope this stops now, the family should pull their rights and just tell them no you did such a horrible job you can't make it.
I am all for a live action telling of this great work but not like that!Β

Heh, yeah, the pilot really didn't live up to what the majority of fans would expect, I'm afraid. And I'm pretty sure this will lead to a long debate with lawyers in court, seeing as REE's contract was supposed to expire today, as they hadn't managed to get anything on screen for the past 7 years - that is, up until they released this so-called "pilot" this week. Hopefully the Jordan estate will manage to get the rights back anyway.

I wouldn't recommend watching the pilot - it simply isn't what it should have been. I just hope WoT will someday be made into a series by someone who really cares about the story, and will put in a ton of time, effort and passion to make it work.

It's... not quite as bad as some make it out to be, but still pretty bad in its own right. Ironically, Billy Zane does a rather good job as Ishamael in a creepily upbeat way. Still, one instantly realized he had no idea what this was all about and he looked more like a wandering monk than the stylish guy we were introduced to in the series' prologue. Well, the man's gotta earn his lunch money some way, I guess. And I liked the Victorian/20ies style for the whole thing. All in all it was very obvious the whole thing was just a throwaway thingie to maintain the license rights.

Indeed. I just find it so sad that REE doesn't give WoT the respect it deserves, making such a half-hearted attempt at a "pilot" only to keep rights. I really hope that the rights will return to Bandersnatch.
