Description I passed by the park today, and decided to visit Mr. White Peacock to see how he's doing, and lo and behold, he was walking around with his tail feathers fully spread. I think it must be mating season or something, 'cause while I was there, he showed off his feathers three times and was making a lot of noise (ever heard a peacock make a sound? it sounds kinda eerie, like a baby crying ; )

Even though you can't see his head, I think the tail bit looks like a collar (for a fancy dress), so I thought people might find it useful ^^

Anctually, the long feathers (the "train") actually grow out of the bird's back, (upper tail covert feathers) not the true tail. But they do use their tail feathers to hold the "train" up. Beautiful shot of the bird by the way!
